Qapital, the financial management service?integrated with most banks, is launching its Android app today.

First available only in iOS, the new service offers the same breadth of functionality to new Android customers which comprise the bulk of mobile phone users in the world.

For investors and boosters like acclaimed behavioral economics researcher Dan Ariely, the launch of the new Android service is a way to expand Qapital's vision of a personalized savings plan to the world.

Qapital, says Ariely, applies theorems from behavioral science to the world of financial management.

Using Qapital's tools, users can assign certain financial rewards to daily goals like reducing spending at restaurants or grocery stores to cutting down on drinks out or doing more exercise.

"We can incentivize behaviors outside of this financial realm," Ariely says. "Now you can incentivize yourself for good behavior."
